Programs to foster hope, empower women, and restore lives.

8 Week Skills for Life Program

This program will include: compassionate individual / family / group counseling to improve emotional and behavioral health; life skills and career training; and cooking / nutrition lessons. By providing a stable, supportive, and nurturing environment where women can learn freely and without judgment, we are giving them the opportunity to feel clear and confident on their personal and professional goals.

This program is 8 weeks long, and sessions will be held at a central location in the community and with the help of partners and volunteers. If you are a professional with expertise to share, contact Door of Hope so that we can explore how we may be able to work together.

Future Programs

Professional Clothing Closet

Door of Hope would like to provide a professional clothing closet for women to obtain business attire for interviewing and workplace environments. When an individual can show up to an interview feeling confident and appropriately dressed, it makes it that much easier to deal with the usual nervousness that comes with interviewing for a job.

Through our programs we try to build confidence from the inside out; our clothing program is just another way for our participants to demonstrate their new-found confidence on the outside!

Transitional Housing

Proper and safe housing creates security for women with children who are experiencing major life transitions. As these women work on turning their lives around through accessing support services and programs like the ones Door of Hope provides, they need a safe place they can call home to return to each day.

Access to reliable childcare and transportation are also important pieces of this puzzle. While providing transitional housing is a priority goal for Door of Hope, we would also like to work towards a comprehensive system of support that includes the childcare and transportation pieces that are needed in this community.

Door of Hope's dream is to partner with local property owners to provide suites for these individuals to stay while they get back on their feet.
